Connecting
This page depicts how you can connect to the Epic-Chat Server and begin chatting with others.
Servers
The following are the most common ways to connect to Epic Chat through our servers:
- irc.epic-chat.net (port 6667 or 6668) – This will connect you to a random set of stable servers.
- irc2.epic-chat.net (port 6667 or 6668) – This will connect you to a random set of alternate, less stable servers. Not recommended unless you can't connect to irc.epic-chat.net
- ssl.epic-chat.net (port 6697 or 6698) – This will connect you to a random set of servers that support the SSL protocol.
Specific servers
While connecting to a specific server is not recommended because it's stability is not guaranteed, you can still connect to a specific server if necessary:
